Description
Ceramic PLUS is a high-performance ceramic abrasive designed for aggressive grinding and extremely high stock removal on high-alloy steels. Its optimized self-sharpening grain provides consistent grinding performance, excellent wear resistance, and an extremely long service life.
The VSM Premium top-coating grinding-active layer helps reduce grinding temperatures for cooler, more efficient grinding while maintaining strong cutting performance throughout the life of the disc. Its combination of aggressive material removal, high durability, and long service life makes Ceramic PLUS an excellent choice for demanding industrial grinding applications while helping increase productivity and reduce overall grinding costs.

Depending on the grinding angle and surface to be ground, Flap Discs are available in two types:
Type 27 – has flat surface and can achieve maximum efficiency when applied at a work angle of 0-15 deg angle. These discs are the most suitable for grinding flat surfaces.
Type 29 – has a slightly conical surface, for grinding at 10-25 deg angle. These discs are the most suitable for grinding contoured surfaces.

Add SAFE LOC (Patented), Quick Change
SAFE LOC is a 5/8″-11 threaded attachment for flap discs. Available for 4 1/2″, 5″, 6″ and 7″ discs with any backing type.
For Item with SAFE LOC Quick Change add S to the end of Item with 7/8″ Arbor Hole. e.g. Item: Z5045049 with 7/8″ AH will become Z5045049S with 5/8″-11 SAFE LOC.
For Item with 5/8″-11 Zinc Hub add H to the of Item with 7/8″ Arbor Hole. e.g. Item: Z5045049 with 7/8″ AH will become Z5045049H with 5/8″-11 Zinc Hub.
