Depending on the grinding angle and surface to be ground, Flap Discs are available in two types:
Type 27 – has flat surface and can achieve maximum efficiency when applied at a work angle of 0-15 deg angle. These discs are the most suitable for grinding flat surfaces.
Type 29 – has a slightly conical surface, for grinding at 10-25 deg angle. These discs are the most suitable for grinding contoured surfaces.

Add SAFE LOC (Patented), Quick Change
SAFE LOC is a 5/8″-11 threaded attachment for flap discs. Available for 4 1/2″, 5″, 6″ and 7″ discs with any backing type.
For Item with SAFE LOC Quick Change add S to the end of Item with 7/8″ Arbor Hole. e.g. Item: Z4045049 with 7/8″ AH will become Z4045049S with 5/8″-11 SAFE LOC.
For Item with 5/8″-11 Zinc Hub add H to the of Item with 7/8″ Arbor Hole. e.g. Item: Z4045049 with 7/8″ AH will become Z4045049H with 5/8″-11 Zinc Hub.
